CRIME PREVENTION TIPS

One  out of five homes will experience a break-in or a home invasion.  8,000  plus home invasions occur in North America everyday!  38% of home  invasions involve assaults and 60% involves rapes!!  According to the  Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI's Uniform Crime Reports) a motor  vehicle is stolen in the United States every 26.4 seconds.  YOU COULD BE  NEXT!!!  Now you can be a part of the solution; call your Legislature  and ask Him or Her to change the Law so that home invaders and car  thieves will receive a minimum of ten (10) years for their first  conviction.  Thank you!  Help yourself and others now by reading the  following tips...

Most home invasions happen between 11a.m. and 6p.m., most people are at work, shopping or out paying bills.

Install motion sensors lights around your house.  Thieves do not want to be seen.

Know the addresses of your neighbors houses in case you see a crime happening, Call 911 First!

Get to know your neighbors who has integrity.

Form neighborhood block clubs.

Inform your neighbors who the known home invaders and cars thieves are.

Keep a low energy lightbulb on at night in your house until daylight.

Vacation time - Ask the post office to hold your mail while you are away from home.

Purchase an automatic home light timer that turn your lights on at dark.

Always lock your windows when you leave home.

Ask your police precinct to give your home special attention while you’re gone on vacation.

You can call 1-800-speak up and report all crimes in your neighborhood.  All calls are anonymous!

Go online www.1800speakup.org and report crimes in your neighborhood.

Neighborhood watch clubs are good for crime prevention.  All neighborhoods should have one.

Alarm  Companies’ lawn and window signs help advertise that your house is  wired and capable of getting a quick response from the Police.  These  alarm signs and decals are a good deterrent for crime prevention.

Never back a car into the driveway, car thieves can easily drive it away.

More cars are stolen New Years Day followed by Halloween and the 4th of July.

Always put a Club on your steering wheel when parking and leaving your car. Thieves do not want to be inconvenienced. Warning,  make sure the key works properly to the original club before putting it  on your steering wheel.  The product will be delivered to your door.

Most car thefts happen between the hours of 3 a.m. to 6 a.m.(while most people are asleep). Buy yourself a wireless inexpensive battery operated, easy to install driveway patrol, it will alert you when unwanted intruders come on your property.

Do not leave keys in a parked car.  (Studies show majority of cars stolen, the keys were left in the ignition.)

Home invaders and car thieves are one of the reasons why home and  auto insurance rates are higher in our neighborhoods. These people are  making taxpaying, voting homeowners miserable. Our mission is to stop  home invasions and car thefts throughout the United States. Also, have  the laws changed so the convicted will receive a minimum of ten (10)  years in prison for their first conviction.

Remember if you are not part of the solution you are part of the problem.
